One Night Part 8

---Raven's POV---

It was quiet at the park. It was an amazing day for a barbeque, the sun was shining and there were very few people there besides the Titans. Even Raven had to admit that this was better than she imagined it being.

Cyborg was at the grill, cooking burgers. Next to his huge grill there was a smaller one a few feet away. This was for Beast Boys tofu, Cyborg refused to cook them, let alone for them to be near his meat.

"If the wind changes and your nasty tofu smell invades my burgers you will be sorry B." Cyborg taunted. Beast Boy flipped bis burgers.

"Oh shut up and cook your animal murder." He responded.

Raven was sitting under a tree a few yards from her friends. She was enjoying a good book and could not help but stop to appreciate this moment.

All of them had a hand in her recovery. She smiled at herself remembering Star attempting to force feed her some kind of home remedy. Beast Boy had made up some excuse to get Raven out of eating it, thank God, she hated hurting Stars feelings.

Beast Boy really pulled through for her in the past few days. He had rarely left her side, and helped her with anything and everything she needed. She was sure this was because he felt he was to blame for her being hurt, even though she assured him that he was not. They had not said a word about the night before the bank, and she dreaded the rejection that she was sure to come once it was brought up.

Raven decided to she was done reading and went to join her friends. "Hey where is Star and Robin?" She asked sitting at the picnic table next to the grill.

"Probably somewhere making out." Beast Boy responded giving her his toothy smile.

Cyborg muttered something that Raven could not make out, and Beast Boy gave him a stern look.

"What was that Cyborg? " She asked.

---Beast Boy's POV---

"Probably somewhere making out." He smiled at her. She looked amazing in the sunlight.

"They aren't the only ones sneaking around to make out." Cyborg muttered under his breath. Beast Boy turned and gave him a stern look.

"What was that Cyborg?"

"Uh um...nothing." He responded.

"Okay?" Raven gave Cyborg a confused look. Beast Boy prayed that she would not press the subject. He could not imagine how Raven would feel if she found out he had told Cyborg about their make out sessions.

As if to answer his prayers Beast Boy noticed Robin and Starfire making their way to the group hand in hand. "Hey guys! It's about time, foods almost ready." Cyborg to his friends.

"Sorry guys, I was just showing Star the swings." Robin responded.

"Yes friends, these swings are glorious. I have never see such a thing. It feels as if you are flying!" Starfire held her hands as if she was an airplane and twirled around. Sometimes her innocence humbled him.

Raven chucked. Starfire sat next to her and sighed. Robin then took a seat across from them. As if missing her presence, Robin grabbed Starfires hands from across the table and brought them up to his mouth and kissed them.

"Ugh PDA!!!" Cyborg said as he stuck out his tongue. Robin let go of her hands and blushed.

"Please friend what is this PDA?" Star looked at Raven confused.

"It stands for Public Display of Affection Star." She responded.

"Oh and you friends are upset that you have no one to do this 'PDA' with? Is that why you wish for us to stop?" Star looked even more confused than before.

"Uh...sure. That's it." Raven rolled her eyes.

"Then we shall stop." Star smiled at Cyborg. Beast Boy couldn't help at chuckle at this.

He imagined displaying PDA with Raven. Kissing her, holding hands, showing everyone that she was his and his alone. 'Ya right.' He thought to himself. Raven was not that kind of person.

"Burgers are ready!" Cyborg said as he brought the tray of food to the table. The other Titans immediately began to make themselves plates.

"Well you guys enjoy your meat murder." Beast Boy said as he brought his tofu to the table. He made a disgusted face as he sat down nest to Robin.

"Oh we will." Cyborg said as he took a huge bite of his burger.

There was silence as the Titans ate. After they were all satisfied with their meal Robin asked "What do you guys want to do now?"

"How about a good old game of football?" Cyborg asked.

---Raven's POV---

"How about a good old game of football?"

'Ugh' Raven thought. She hated football. The one time that she did try to play she had gotten angry at Beast Boy and exploded that ball. That was not a good day.

"Sounds great Cy!" Beast Boy responded. He always enjoyed a good game of football.

"Glorious! Robin and I-" Star was cut off by Cyborg.

"Oh no. You and boy wonder are on opposite teams."

Star looked hurt. "It's okay Star." Robin assured her "It's just a game."

"Ya a game you are going to go down in!" Cyborg taunted.

"Ha no way!" Beast Boy said defending Robin "You are toast."

Raven felt left out. She wanted to be able to trash talk her friends, she wanted to be as excited as they were to play this game, but she could not bring herself to feel like that. She frowned and said "I will be the ref."

And so the game began, Star and Cyborg were on one side, while Beast boy and Robin were on the other. Robin started with the ball. "Ready-One-Two-Three." Just then Beast Boy turned in to a cheetah and ran long. Cyborg charged at his leader.

The game went on for about an hour. Raven had lost track of the score, 'some ref I am' she thought. After becoming bored with the game she opened her book and began to read. This was the final play, or at least that is what Robin had said. They snapped the ball Robin was running with the ball, Cyborg tried to block Beast Boy, but he turned in to a rabbit and jumped between his legs. Robin threw the ball to Beast Boy, right towards where Raven was sitting.

Beast Boy slammed in to Raven. Hard. She grunted as the rolled on the ground. They had rolled for what felt like forever, until they stopped. She fell on her back with Beast Boy on top. "Ow!" She groaned.

"Are you okay Raven?"

"Yeah I'm..." She then realized the position they were in. They had not been this psychically close since the night of the bank break in. He cheeks grew red with embarrassment. Time seemed to stop.

---Beast Boy's POV---

He was laying on top of Raven. At first all he cared about was that she was okay. Then it felt like he was hit with a brick when realized what he had gotten himself in to. She was looking in to his eyes, deep in thought. He couldn't help himself, he couldn't hold back his feelings a moment longer. He leaned down and kissed Raven gently on the lips. She felt just as warm as she did that first night, just as soft, just as sweet. The moment felt like it could last forever. Then it didn't.  

He jumped off of her as soon as he felt the feet of their friends. He held out his hand to help her up, instead she immediately pulled up her hood and stood up by herself.

"Are you guys okay?" Robin asked. The other Titans stood by him.

"Uh yeah, we are okay." Beast boy responded. He rubbed the back of his head. He only hoped that the others didn't see them...

"Friends were you kissing?" Star asked.

"Uh lets go back to the tower."Cyborg said, "Game is over." He was trying to help his two friends, but to no avail.

"I believe that I did see you to partake in the PDA." Star said as if Cyborg had said nothing.

----Raven's POV---

"I believe that I did see you to partake in the PDA."

Raven knew that they were caught. She expected Beast Boy to tell them everything, to expose them to the world. And deep down she didn't care, she wanted the others to know. She was tired of carrying this secret, she was not ashamed of what her and Beast Boy had, whatever it was.  

"Ya right, I would never kiss Raven, too much creepiness." The words escaped Beast Boys mouth quickly.

She looked at him in shock. 'What' she thought. 'Why would he say that.' She felt like her heart had been broken in to a million pieces. It became hard to breath, as if her lungs were clasping on themselves. Had she been making all of this up in her head? No, no Beast Boy did kiss her. Three times. But if that was true why would he say something like this? Why would he deny her? Is that how he really thought?

---Beast Boy's POV----


"Ya right, I would never kiss Raven, too much creepiness." He instantly regretted the words once they escaped his mouth. Why did he just say that? Was he just protecting himself? Or did he think he was protecting Raven?

"Beast Boy..." It Cyborg who spoke his name not Raven.

Raven turned in to black energy and diapered. He watched her leave. He could have sworn that he had seen tears running down her face. 'What have I done?' he thought.

"What in the hell have you done" Cyborg said as if reading his mind. "Why would you say that?"

"I-I don't know." He admitted. He did not know, it was an instant reaction to Starfires question, he said it with out thinking first. He wished he could take it back.

"What is going on here?" Robin demanded

"Beast Boy here has been secretly making out with Raven for two weeks." Cyborg said bluntly.

"Cyborg!" Beast Boy yelled defensively.

"What you think I am going to defend you? Not after that." He spat. "I told you she was fragile, I told you not to do this!"

"Calm down Cyborg." Robin put a hand on Cyborg's shoulder. He turned to Beast Boy "Is this true?" His voice was much softer than Cyborgs. Much calmer.

"Yes." He replied.

Robin opened his mouth to respond but Beast Boy had already tuned in to a bird and flown off. He was headed to the tower as fast as he could. He had to talk to Raven, he had to explain himself. He had to tell her the truth.

Beast Boy landed on the roof, he rushed to Raven's door and knocked. No answer. He knocked again, again nothing.

"Raven open the door." He could not hear anything on the other side. He could not take it anymore and turned in to an ant and crawled under the door.

"Raven listen I-" He started to talk once he turned back to a human but stopped. Raven's room looked like a tornado had ran through it, even worse Raven was no where to be found.
