One Night Part 3

---Beast Boy's POV----

It had been about a week since the kiss. Beast Boy laid awake in his bed. 'Yet another sleepless night for ya B' he thought to himself. Raven and he had been avoiding each other non-stop. It has worked out well mostly, Raven stayed in her room to meditate so no one really saw her except when she came out to eat. And on Missions.

Missions were the worst. It felt like Robin stuck them together on purpose. He was constantly catching himself protecting her. When she would confront him about it he just chalked it up to his heighten sense of danger, but deep down he knew why he protected her more than the others. In a way he always knew.

He sighed. Maybe he was over thinking this, maybe the kiss was just that, a kiss. There was no way Raven could like someone like him. She was dark and mysterious, and he was immature and stupid. Beast Boy rolled on to his stomach and buried his head in to his pillow.

"I should go out tomorrow." He said to himself. "Find a nice girl, bring her back here..." He stopped. He hadn't even thought of another girl in a week. Before the kiss, the thought of a new companion excited him, now it made his stomach sink. He didn't want anyone else, he only wanted one girl. The one girl he knew he could never have.

Beast Boy pushed the thoughts of Raven out of his mind and tried to get some sleep in before morning.

---Raven's POV---

Raven had woken up early the next morning to get a head start on the day. She had promised Starfire that she would go to the mall with her. She hated "girl time", but knew she owed Star from when she ditched her the day after the kiss...

Raven was sitting at the table drinking her morning tea. She was dressed in a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt. No need to gain extra attention at the mall, so that left her uniform out of the question.

This week had been rough. She hated staying in her room so much, she had made a vow to herself to be more apart of the team after her father was defeated, and keeping so much to herself felt like she was reverting back to her old ways. Maybe this trip to the mall with Star was better for her than she thought, she needed a friend, who else better than Star?

"Oh glorious friend Raven, you are awake!" Star said as she entered the room. Robin followed close behind. Starfire was wearing a short sundress and sandals, while Robin wore his uniform.

"Man Raven, didn't know anyone got up before me." Robin smiled as he made his way to make a pot of coffee.

"Well I have a big day ahead of me. Need to get the day started early." Raven responded as she go up to put the empty cup in the sink.

"Right today is your guys girl day." Robin put some waffles in to the toaster for himself and his girlfriend. Starfire sat at the table after she made a cup of OJ. "To be honest I am surprised you agreed to go out with her," Robin whispered to Raven, careful not to talk loud enough for Star to hear. "Thought you hated that kind of thing."

"I do." Raven whispered back. "But I need some time away from the tower, I have had a tough week." Raven knew that only her and Beast Boy knew about their kiss, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to tell that something was wrong amongst the team.

"I understand," he responded. "If you ever want to talk about it...my door is always open."

"Thanks." She responded. She knew that Robin was able to keep secrets, but knew that she would never go to him before Cyborg. They had lost a lot of their bond once him and Star started dating, and that was for the best.

Robin finished his pot of coffee, and brought Star her waffles. He kissed her on the forehead before setting down.

"Well I am ready whenever you are Starfire, so once you are done-"

Before she could answer Starfire had scarfed down her waffles and grabbed her hand. "I am ready now friend, goodbye Robin see you later!" Just like that Raven was pulled out of the kitchen and through the door, she could hear Robin laughing in the kitchen.

---Beast Boy's POV---

Beast Boy had woken up around 12, trying to sleep in as much as possible. He made his way to the kitchen. As the doors opened he could see that Robin was sitting on the couch flipping through channels.

"Good morning." Beast Boy said as he made his way towards the fridge.

"More like afternoon." Robin replied with a chuckle.

"Hey you are the only other one I have seen this morning, so I am assuming that everyone else is still asleep." Beast Boy stated as he went to the kitchen and pulled out what was left of the pizza they had the night before.

"Star and Raven went to the mall and I haven't seen Cy yet today. I think he is up, I heard him on the phone when I walked by his room earlier."

"Raven went to the mall with Starfire? That is not like her." Beast Boy made his way to the couch and sat by Boy Wonder. He took a bite of the cold pizza in his hand.

"Yeah, she said she needed to get out of the tower. She has had a rough week."

Beast Boy only nodded his head in response to this. He knew why Raven was having a bad week. It was the same reason he was having the worst week of this life.

Just then Cyborg entered the main room. He made his way to the couch and took a seat. He looked terrible, he had circles under his one human eye, and his eye was blood shot.  

"Hey Cy no animal killing to-..." Beast Boy began. But after noticing how his friend looked he changed his tone. "What, what is wrong? What happened?"

Cyborg put his hands over his eyes and shook his head.  

"Hey tell us what is wrong." It was Robin who spoke this time.

Cyborg exhaled before meeting his friends gaze. "Bee..." He started, but turned his head and stared out the window in deep thought.

"You broke up, didn't you." Beast Boy said, it wasn't a question, more of a statement.

Cyborg merely nodded. It was quiet for a while. Robin spoke, "Cy its okay. It'll be okay."

"No it won't." Cyborg replied back anger rose in his voice, "Why would she do this to me? I...I loved her." With the last words he turned his head and looked at his friends, he looked like he was about to break down.

"I know it hurts man," Beast Boy said "it is going to hurt. But it'll be fine man. You are going to be okay." There was a long pause and no one dared to talk.

"We will take you out tonight, won't we B?" It was Robin who broke the silence.

"Yeah man, I was going to go out tonight," that was a lie, "I'll take you guys to a club where the girls are begging for attention. We will have a blast man." Beast Boy didn't want to go to a club. He didn't want to show his two best friends that he had lost his game in the past week, but he knew he would fake it all. For Cyborg.

"Ok." Is all Cyborg said in response.

"We will have a great time man," Robin said "we will be your wing men. Before the end of the night you and Beast Boy will both have a women on your arms."

'Ya' Beast Boy thought. 'but not the one I want.'

---Raven's POV---

Starfire had dragged Raven through almost every store in the mall. Out of the thousand of outfits Star made her try on Raven only kept maybe ten. Out of those she knew she was only going to wear about half of them. Although Raven despised the mall and all thing 'girly' she had to admit to herself she was having fun. She was enjoying the distraction he troubles, and loved to see Starfire so happy. That's why after the millionth time Starfie begged Raven agreed to get their hair done together.

"Oh joyous! We will be looking the hottest afterwards Raven. We will surly find you a boyfriend!"

"Uh Star I don't want a boyfriend."

"Oh yes you do Raven. They are the best. I want you to be as happy as me and Robin are."

Raven only smiled. There was only one boy Raven wanted to be with, and he was back at the tower probably playing some immature game, brushing his hair out of his face in frustration. His beautiful face.... she pushed the thought out of her head as the hair dresser took her and Star the two chairs in the back of the salon.

"Hi my name is Ann, and this," she pointed to the clearly flamboyant man who was now standing next to her "is Fabio. We will be taking care of you today. How do you guys want your hair done today?" The both seemed friendly enough.

Just then Starfires phone rang. "I must take this, please excuse me." Star said as she stood up and walked away to answer her phone in private.

Ann looked at Raven waiting for her answer with a smile on her face. "I know Starfire is just going to want a trim,"

"And you my dear?" Fabio said pointing his scissors at her, "May I suggest some bangs? I would keep the length, only do layers." He walked around her chair. "I want to cut your bangs in to kind of a "V", you know to keep your Gothic look." Fabio did not say the word "Gothic" in disgust, but in a way made Raven feel safe. Even understood.

"Uh I don't know, I don't really like change..." Raven started. She noticed Starfire walking back.

"Saddest news friend, it seems that Cyborg and Bee have done the breaking up." Starfire looked sincerely sad.

"That's too bad, they were so great together." Raven frowned.

Starfire look at her friend and smiled. "Not to worry Raven, Robin has told me that him and Beast Boy are going to go to take him out tonight. He has assured me that Beast Boy is going to find him a nice girl to 'help him through it'." Starfire took her seat next to Raven, obviously not understanding the meaning of 'help him through it'.

"Robin also said that Beast Boy will most likely find himself a girl as well, that is why he has asked me to meet him at the club later, so he does not feel alone."

Ravens heart sank. Beast Boy is going to go out and find himself a girl to take home. Someone who can show emotions, who he can spend some 'real' time with. Most likely to 'help him through' some stuff with as well. She will be the only one tonight with out someone. Once again she is alone.

Raven looked to her hair dresser. "Make me look hot." This was so unlike her, it took Starfire by surprise.  

Fabio did not even flinch, "Oh honey when I am done with you, you will have to beat the boys off with a stick."

Raven smiled.
